These are great meditations if you’re going through a period of pain, discomfort or change. There’s a couple at the end that I’ve listed before but I think they’re really relevant and useful here too so I’ve added them again. I am a huge fan of Sarah Blondin and love her meditations but there are loads more to choose from on insight timer if she’s not your cup of tea. Hope you find these useful.
1. SARAH BLONDIN: TRANSFORMING FEAR (11 MINUTES)
Nothing in our lives is meant to be feared or forced away, it is through acceptance and exploration of these things that we find peace.
2. SARAH BLONDIN: EXPLORING THE WILDERNESS (11 MINUTES)
Learning to dive deeper into the uncomfortable edges in our life. A lesson on turning toward, instead of away.
3. SARAH BLONDIN: EXPLORING THE WILDERNESS (11 MINUTES)
This episode works to empower the part of you that wants to be more alive, awake and vital.
4. SARAH BLONDIN: LEARNING TO SURRENDER (8 MINUTES)
This is my favourite meditation at the moment. My go-to way to spend 8 minutes if I feel like I’m getting nowhere or if my head is a bit too loud with thought. Sarah Blondin is available on Insight Timer or you can listen to her on her
5. SARAH BLONDIN: LOVING & LISTENING TO YOURSELF (13 MINUTES)
This is a lovely soothing meditation if you’re feeling a little low and in need of a big hug
If you’d like a longer course of meditations I can highly recommend these two also on insight timer. They’re both paid for courses but I’ve experienced both and they’re amazing!
Coming Home to Yourself – Sarah Blondin
Methods for living with pain & illness – Vidyamala Burch
The methods for living with pain & illness is really good. I particularly liked the idea that if you clench your fist really tight and notice what happens to your breathing and your minds focus it really brings home what impact our mind and body and breathe have on each other. It is from there you can envision how mindfulness and breathing can impact on your pain levels.
